The Fast of Youmul Arafah The 9th of Zul Hijjah is Yowmul-Arafah. The fast of Yowmul Arafah has been prescribed by Rasulullah ﷺ as a most meritorious act. Fasting on the day of Arafah becomes a cause of forgiveness for sins committed in the past and future It is Wajib (compulsory) to recite aloud the Takbiraat of Tashreeq (once only) after every Fardh Salaah, from the Fajr of the 9th Zul-Hijjah (Tuesday, 20th July 2021), to the Asr of the 13th of Zul-Hijjah (Saturday, 24th July 2021), performed with Jamaat or individually. اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ , لَا إلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ , اللهُ أَكْبَرُ وَللهِ الْحَمْدُ Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. Laa ilaaha illallaahu Wallaahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar Walillaahil Hamd. Translation: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity but Allah & Allah is the Greatest. Allah is the Greatest & all praise belongs to Him. Note: Ladies should read the Takbeer in a low voice.
