Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence) Learn the essential rulings of purification, prayer, fasting, and more using the classical Hanafi text Nūr al-ʾĪḍāḥ and its Urdu/English commentary Nūr al-Iṣbāḥ by Moulana Sayyid Muhammad Mia Saheb. This text is rooted in the teachings of Imām Abū Ḥanīfah and his leading students. As Imām Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal said: “If there is agreement between Abū Ḥanīfah, Abū Yūsuf, and Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan on a matter, then one should not pay attention to anyone who disagrees with them.” These lessons provide both clarity and confidence in daily practice, backed by centuries of scholarship. 2. Lessons from the Lives of the Prophets Based on Stories of the Prophets by Maulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi, this subject draws from the Qur’an and recounts the inspiring missions of fourteen great Prophets. It offers vivid portrayals, reflective insights, and moral guidance that resonate with the spiritual challenges we face today. This is not only a book of stories — but a roadmap of prophetic wisdom for modern life. 3. Sarf (Arabic Morphology) Using Fundamentals of Classical Arabic, students will gradually learn how Arabic words are formed and how verbs are conjugated. This book simplifies the deep science of Arabic grammar into understandable principles, with visual tables and clear explanations — making it ideal for beginners and long-term learners alike. 4. Hadith Provisions for the Seekers is a collection of 327 hadiths compiled by Shaykh ‘Ashiq Ilahi al-Bulandshehri, selected from the renowned Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ. These narrations offer timeless prophetic guidance and deeply moving examples of the Messenger’s ﷺ wisdom, eloquence, and compassion. This is the ideal hadith primer taught in many traditional madrasahs around the world. 5. Arabic Basics Al-Tareeqa al-‘Asriyya serves as our textbook for conversational Arabic. With dialogues entirely in Arabic and English explanations, this book has evolved over decades of teaching experience to help English-speaking students gain confidence in Arabic quickly and naturally. 6. Qur’an Tarjuma & Tafseer Connect directly with the Words of Allah through structured translation sessions and guided tafseer of selected surahs. At Daar Ibn Umar, we are committed to providing a **dynamic and engaging** learning experience for our students. Our **innovative digital Islamic learning platform** enhances the traditional Maktab experience with **animated lessons, bite-sized content, gamification, and quizzes**, ensuring that key concepts are reinforced in an interactive way. Dear Parents and Community Members, Subject: Welcome Back to Madrasah Term 3 I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. As we conclude the vacation break, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all families as we commence Term 3 at Daar Ibn Umar. We are excited to have our students return to full-time face-to-face learning, starting from Tuesday, the 18th of July. First and foremost, I hope that all families have enjoyed a safe and rejuvenating vacation break. It is wonderful to see our students refreshed and ready to continue their educational journey at Daar Ibn Umar. Pick and Drop Procedures: We would like to kindly remind parents and guardians about our 'Pick and Drop' procedures, which will continue to be in place this term. To ensure the smooth flow of traffic around the madrasah premises, we kindly request that you park in the rear car park and accompany your children to their respective classrooms. Additionally, please make sure to promptly collect your children at the designated pick-up time. Ensuring the safety of our students is of utmost importance, and we want to avoid any risks associated with unsupervised students in areas with traffic. Please note that there will be no supervision for students left after class for more than 15 minutes from the end of class. Attendance: We would like to emphasize the importance of regular attendance for all students at Daar Ibn Umar. Unless your child has a medical certificate stating an ongoing medical condition or is currently unwell, we expect their presence at madrasah. If you require leave for your child, kindly request and receive approval from the Madrasah administration. Frequent unexplained absences may result in the removal of the student's name from the roll. Equipment: A friendly reminder for all students to bring their own stationery supplies, such as pens and pencils, to madrasah. Please ensure that your child is well-equipped for their classes. If you need to purchase any books, they are available for purchase at the Madrasah Office. Additionally, if you haven't already done so, we strongly encourage you to install the Madrasah App on your mobile device. This term onwards, all correspondence will be through the App. Please send us the GUID code for your child to ensure that you receive all necessary updates and information. Communicating with the Madrasah: I would like to highlight the importance of effective communication between parents and the Madrasah. We encourage you to continue utilizing email or the Madrasah App for any communication regarding your child's education or any other inquiries. Should you need to speak with someone directly, please feel free to contact the Administration office at the following numbers: 0491 191 952 or 0431 188 780. Our dedicated staff will be happy to assist you. For in-person discussions, you are welcome to visit the Madrasah office during the designated office hours. Please note that the office hours for the time being are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from Maghrib to Isha. We kindly request that you refrain from approaching teachers directly without an appointment to ensure their uninterrupted focus on classroom instruction. If you wish to speak with a specific teacher during Term 3, please contact the office, and they will pass on your message to the respective teacher. The teacher will then respond to your inquiry at the earliest convenience. Alternatively, you may also use the Madrasah App to directly contact the teacher or the administration. Maintaining effective communication channels between home and Madrasah is vital to the success of our students. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in following these communication guidelines. Uniform: Additionally, I would like to emphasize the importance and necessity of adhering to the uniform rules outlined in the Madrasah Policies and Procedures Manual, specifically on page 6. The uniform policy plays a crucial role in maintaining a sense of unity, discipline, and professionalism among our students. By following the uniform guidelines, we create an environment that fosters respect, identity, and a focused learning atmosphere. Wearing the prescribed uniform allows students to present themselves as proud representatives of our Madrasah, showcasing their commitment to their education and Islamic values. It also promotes equality among students, regardless of their background or social status, as everyone is expected to dress uniformly. It is essential that all students come to Madrasah dressed in the prescribed uniform. This includes the proper wearing of hijabs, headscarves, and other religious attire in accordance with Islamic guidelines. I kindly request all parents and guardians to familiarize themselves with the rules mentioned in the Madrasah Policies and Procedures Manual. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
